रघुवीर ध्वज

रघुवीर यश विस्तार मिस कचनार ध्वज नभ पर सजे।

चहुं ओर निगम पुराण आगम विमल जय डिंडिम बजे।।

जिस केतु हित वानर अमित बल धाम कंपति तर लड़े

सो राम गेहोपरि विराजित हरे दरस पातक बड़े।।१।।

अवतरण गंगा खनन सागर समर देवासुर महा ।

बहु‌ वेद वर्णित मख निहारे स्थित पुरातन ध्वज रहा।।

वह तरणि कुल गौरव पताका धर अवध मारुत बहे।

"सब भांति धन्य कराल कलि जन" बात सब सुर दल  कहे।। २।।

बिन धूम पावक राम शासन ध्वज लपट उत्तम लिये

मद मोह भूधर संग सरि युत भेद कानन सम किये।।

ईंधन प्रबल राघव चरण रति अनल यह फिर बढ़ चले।

आदित्य शलभ समान खल गण सकल मन स्यंदन जले।।३।।

भावार्थ 

रघुवीर की कीर्ति के विस्तार के बहाने कोविदार का ध्वज आकाश में सुशोभित हो रहा है। मानो चारों ओर आगम वेद पुराण की निर्मल जय की डुगडुगी बज रही है। 

जिस पताका के लिए अमित बल के धाम  वानर समुद्र लांघकर लड़े, वही श्री राम मंदिर के ऊपर विराजमान है जिसका दर्शन से बड़े बड़े पाप हर लेता है। १।।

सगर पुत्रों का खनन ,  गंगा अवतरण  ,बड़े बड़े देवासुर संग्राम , अनेकों वेद वर्णित यज्ञों को देखता हुआ पुरातन ध्वज खड़ा रहा। उस सूर्य कुल की गौरव पताका को धारण करके अयोध्या का वायु बह रहा है। सभी देवताओं के दल एक ही बात कहते हैं "कराल कलियुग के लोग ही सब भांति धन्य हैं।" ।।२।।

श्रीराम का शासन धूम रहित (उज्जवल , मलरहित) अग्नि है जिसने इस ध्वज रूपी उत्तम लपट को लेकर मद मोह रूपी पर्वतों ,आसक्ति रूपी नदियों से युक्त ,भेद रूपी वनों को समतल किया‌।राम पद प्रेम रूपी ईंधन को पाकर यह आग  फिर बढ़ चली। आदित्य कहता है कि इस अग्नि दुष्टों के समस्त मनोरथ पतंगों के समान जलते हैं।।३।।

Meaning 

On the pretext of celebrating Raghuvīr’s glory, the banner of the Koovidaar tree shines resplendently in the sky, as if  the flawless drum of victory of the Āgamas, Vedas and Purāṇas is being sounded in all directions.

The very flag for which the abode of immense strength-the Vānara army crossed the ocean and fought, is now enthroned above the Rāma temple; the sight of which absolves even the gravest sins.( 1)

The ancient banner that has witnessed the digging by Sagar's son (or churning of Ocean) , the descent of the Ganga, mighty battles between gods and demons, and countless Vedic sacrifices, stands firm even now.

The wind of Ayodhya blows while bearing the glory-banner of the Suryavansha.

All the hosts of gods declare in one voice:

“Truly blessed in every way are the people of this dreadful Kali Yuga!” (2)

The reign of Śrī Rāma is like a smokeless (pure, stainless) flame which, taking this banner as its noble blaze, leveled the  the forests of bheda  having mountains of pride and delusion, the rivers of attachment.

Receiving the fuel of devotion to the feet of Rāma, this fire rose even higher.

Āditya says that in this flame, all the desires of the wicked burn like moths.( 3)
